About

I am a BACP Registered Counsellor, trained in Existential Psychotherapy. I offer regular, reliable, weekly, in person appointments, grounded in warmth and respect, where your privacy and ability to think openly and honestly are protected. Therapy is a place separate from the rest of life where attention can be given to what matters: we explore your world, in your own time.

I undertook clinical client work in multiple cancer support charities, providing counselling to individuals with a cancer diagnosis, both curable and incurable, bereaved friends, family members, and carers. I have been a long term volunteer and initial assessor at a suicide prevention charity, listening to hundreds of people in this capacity. I was part of the training team, involved with recruitment selection and training potential volunteers in supporting suicidal individuals.

Outside of this, I run a technology company. Working as an entrepreneur has shaped how I understand uncertainty, persistence, and the limits and possibilities of personal agency. These experiences have have helped me connect with clients on how easily life can lose its sense of security.

Ethics & Privacy

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and abide the ethical code of the organisation, which is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA), which independently regulates professional bodies in the UK. I am committed to ongoing development, and am currently in advanced training, working towards a Master's in Existential Psychotherapy & Counselling.

As part of my commitment to ethical practice I am in regular supervision with an experienced UKCP accredited psychotherapist, uphold professional indemnity insurance and have an Enhanced DBS Check (Adult Workforce).

I take client data protection and privacy incredibly seriously, and am registered as a Data Controller with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
